Ti-Q OÜ is a company producing ferro alloys, established in 2022, Ahtme, Estonia, and it belongs to Metraco Group, a ferro alloys and non-ferrous metal trading and production group of companies established in 1993 with offices in Belgium (HQ), UK, Switzerland, Lithuania, and Estonia. Ti-Q is focussed on production of ferro titanium alloys. We have set up a fully vertically integrated ferro titanium plant, from sourcing scrap to delivering ferro titanium of the highest quality into the global marketplace. Following a visionary investment plan, the plant has become profitable in all its aspects and further investments are scheduled to bring our definition of market leadership position to the next level. New cutting-edge equipment is being installed to further strengthen our manufacturing capabilities. Due to the growth, there is a need for a professional, certified lab and we are looking for a LAB MANAGER.

The Role
The Lab Manager is a newly created position. You will have an excellent opportunity to define the specifics of that role and have a strong impact to the company´ s success story by creating professional, accredited lab! The development of your team and the lab is your goal.
As the Lab Manager, your responsibility is to make sure the subordinates follow industry standards and safety regulations for handling and disposing of test samples (both, chemicals & physical tests). You will be responsible for scheduling lab work for 7 days per week. You are the lab´s voice for purchasing lab supplies, as well as changing processes for better quality matters. The lab should be an independent unit where quality, ISO standards, and certifications are presentable for customers. Coordinating external audits by accreditation bodies is essential for maintaining ISO 9001 accreditation. You need to ensure that the laboratory is adequately prepared for these audits and handling any findings or recommendations.
Your goals
- Get the factory modernized: ensure high production quality, update the technological solutions, and increase cooperation abilities.
- Make preparations ASAP and get an ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 certificate.
- ESG leadership.
- The goal is to create a model factory that we can proudly present to customers and other interested parties.

The Group is a global market leader in the field of ferro titanium, a product used as an additive for advanced, stainless, and automotive steels. It is also active in other metals and ferro alloys and has an excellent reputation in the industry.
For our production unit Ti-Q in Ahtme, Kohtla-Järve, we are looking for an ambitious Lab Manager to lead the laboratory, transforming it into a technological and reliable service provider for production and offering high-quality analyses for customers.

Experience we are looking for
You possess chemical and/or technical education combined with working experience in the laboratory managing a small team. You have an understanding of lab processes, quality regulations as well as project management. Your proficiency in the Russian and English language enables effective communication with colleagues and HQ, Estonian language skills would be considered an advantageous asset for this role.
As an individual, you are a collaborative team player. You are characterized by an internal drive to see initiatives through from initiation to fruition as agreed upon. Your challenging and improvement-looking mindset, capacity to envision the bigger picture, and adeptness in adapting to rough production environment are noteworthy attributes. A rational and composed approach in high-pressure situations (such as managing delivery timelines or resolving complaints) defines your demeanor as a lab leader.
