Threod Systems AS develops and manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) used in the military sector, along with accompanying surveillance equipment. The company is located in Viimsi, where 140 specialists in the field work: mechanical, electronics, and software engineers, supported by aviation enthusiasts and the production team. Chief Commercial Officer.

The Role:

The Commercial Director is a member of the management team, whose most important responsibility is achieving the company’s sales goals by leading the sales and marketing teams at both strategic and operational levels.

The next development phase of Threod Systems’ sales division involves building a well-functioning sales organization (and marketing in the future), creating and streamlining sales processes, clarifying roles, shaping sales strategies, preparing and adhering to the budget, developing team members’ competencies, and coordinating all sales activities with other departments—primarily development and production, as well as finance.

You will directly oversee the sales team, which consists of four members and serves three product-based subunits (aircraft, electro-optical systems, and catapults). In addition, you will coordinate the activities of the business development manager for each division, and historically, the training team has also been under the sales department’s responsibility. The organization is flexible and dynamic, and your role is to further develop it according to the changing situation and company needs.

We have set a goal to move toward more product-based sales.

You will be responsible for training and developing the sales team’s competencies (including how we present and market products), bringing clarity to roles and goals, and improving tools (ensuring the correct use of information flows between Pipedrive, Monitor, and SharePoint). You will standardize the documentation and the quality of information, ensuring smooth internal collaboration and communication (development, production, supply chain, etc.).

As a leader, you will keep a close eye on the markets and key clients, participating in the execution of the most important sales. You will establish, maintain, and develop trust-based relationships, oversee the entire sales pipeline, and direct the focus.

You will lead and plan participation in tenders (internal responsible parties, deadlines, terms, adjustments, client education). You will also represent the company in various organizations, networks, meetings, and trade shows.

  • Experience in international B2B sales and sales management of technical products/services in a larger organization.
  • Experience in building long-term relationships across different cultures.
  • Experience with international tenders.
  • Experience in team leadership.
  • Proficiency in Estonian at a very high level and English at a B2 level.
