We are looking for a
Technology Development Manager.
Your role is to make a long-term plan for development and improvement of our technology and manufacturing processes. You are the one to set goals, targets and metrics for the technology team. You set and keep the focus to ensure competitiveness of the factory. Your task is to bring an innovative approach to our way of working. You are a key person to establish our competitive edge and long-term sustainability.
You are part of the management team but also you supervise the team of technologists (technology manager + 11 specialists). At the same time, you need to be an active member of the site management team. You need to see the big picture in planning the overall site development. In this role teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Main responsibilities:
- Managing the development department and ensuring effective allocation of engineering and technology resources.
- Developing and supporting the team, creating an environment that fosters professional growth.
- Improving and developing production processes across the company, e.g. ERP usage, layout, Lean manufacturing.
- Selecting, sourcing and implementing new technologies (punching, laser cutting, plasma cutting, gas cutting, bending, rolling, hand MIG-MAG welding, robot welding, light turning, light milling 3 axes, heavy milling 4 axes, 3+2 axes, 3+2 axes turning table, max weight 20T and length 5,5 meters, wet and powder painting, complex assemblies, e.g. the complete assembly stacker, equipment, and production tooling.
- Leading initiatives that increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Managing the work of the development department, effective use of the resources of engineers and technologists and having an overview.
- Developing subordinates and creating working conditions that promote development.
- Developing technologies and capabilities used in production, including tools.
- Selecting new technologies and equipment and implementing them in production.
- Developing and digitalizing processes, integrating systems and software with each other and with the company’s ERP system (Monitor).
- Participating in shaping the sales strategy of business directions. What kind of technologies we´d like to enhance and help sales to sell.
- Initiating and developing improvements to increase production productivity, reducing costs and improving quality.
- Having an overview of tasks and technological projects and ensuring their timely completion.
- Developing and following the department’s key metrics and initiating activities to achieve results.

Location:
Your Skills and Experience:
- Technical degree in mechanical engineering or production engineering;
- Previous career as production engineer is a must;
- Ability to read technical documentation, including drawings and work/process instructions;
- Have at least 5 years of experience in the metal industry, ideally in heavy mechanics building;
- Have at least 5 years of leadership experience with proven, hands‑on team management;
- Familiarity with modern manufacturing technologies and understand production processes as well as capacity/resource planning;
- English and Russian language skills are essential;
- A B-category driving licence allows you to visit HANZA factories when needed;
- Deep knowledge and experience with developing and implementing ERP-s.
