History of Alma Career

The origin of Alma Career, at that time named as Alma Markets, was in Finland and consisted of 3 services in Finland: the job portal Monster, real estate portal Etuovi, and mobility portal Autotalli. Internationalization started in early 2000, and all these companies are today divested.
In today’s sense Alma Career history started as of 2012 with the acquisition of CV-Online in Baltics, prace.cz and jobs.cz in the Czech Republic, Profesia.sk in Slovakia and mojposao.net in Croatia. In 2020 mojposao.ba from Bosnia and Herzegovina and in 2023 vrabotuvanje.com.mk from North Macedonia were added to portfolio.
2022 was the turning point where we started to build a common Alma Career identity, moving from local to global. For these transitions, the Career United program was launched, and the following actions were taken:

  • Common Alma Career Strategy was defined.
  • Appointed regions with local brands:
    o Career South,
    o Career Central,
    o Career North,
    o Finland
  • Rebranding and Global Brand Promise were defined Alma Career rebranding took place
  • Restructuring and appointing global and local functions

With the acquisition of various job portal providers, the portfolio of different products increased, as all of the countries have their own products, in addition to job boards, other recruitment-related IT solutions, like Applicant tracking system or engagement surveys, as well as recruitment agency services.

Today Alma Career operates in 9 countries where the offered products are well known, and often are market leaders. Main business includes recruitment advertising,
EB, career development and staffing.
